SCRIBO  EDITION Thirty-two years of independent publishing SCRIBO was set up in 1979 by Geneviève de Temmerman with a team of lexicographers. We specialize in LSP dictionaries (Language for Specific Purposes dictionaries) for sectors as various as Electronuclear Power, Medicine, Botany, etc. On request, we develop glossaries for any trade sector. This site mainly features our Gastronomic Series. Our French-English dictionaries for explaining and translating restaurant menus are used in the most prestigious French cooking schools and more than one million restaurants worldwide. The French-English pocket-sized gastronomic dictionary of French cuisine, The A-Z of French Food, is the reference book for maîtres d'hôtel and foreign gourmets. Our work   Our publications are reference books that are backed up with tried and tested tools and a solid know-how. SCRIBO is an outisder of the French publishing panorama Most of our books are specifically designed for industrial groups who become the copyrights owners. Our series Gastronomy is one of the major exceptions.
Our objectives Our long term ambition is to continue developing Language for Specific Purposes dictionaries, in order to answer the industrial demand for translations that require quality lexicographical data bases.
